Chemco Appointed As Sales Agent

Micrex Development Corp. announced today that it has appointed Chemco Inc., a Quebec chemical company, as a Protected Sales Agent for Micrex magnetite products for a period of five years.

Chemco is a leading supplier of specialty water treatment chemicals and has evaluated Micrex Magnetite as a source for ferric sulphate feedstock for their own use.

Ferric Sulphate is an important inorganic coagulant for phosphate removal in water treatment, and is also good for sludge dewatering.

Not only does Chemco represent a significant market for magnetite in their own right, but they are ideally positioned to promote the use of magnetite to potential clients outside the markets already identified by Micrex.

Chemco has laboratory facilities, market contacts and an existing marketing team already in place to promote Micrex’s product.

Chemco works with a broad range of companies and feels that they can develop several significant markets for Micrex magnetite.

Through their efforts Micrex has already been introduced to several major prospective clients who are currently evaluating finished and bulk magnetite samples from both Quebec and Alberta.

While primarily focused on magnetite products from the Quebec St. Charles Magnetite Deposit and on the markets in eastern North America, Chemco will be able to access and evaluate potential markets throughout North America as well as offshore. As such, products can be sourced from either western or eastern magnetite deposits – whichever offers the best marketing and production benefits.

Micrex feels that having a Quebec based presence with access to nearby markets, familiarity with language and laws, and an established marketing and laboratory capability will serve to significantly boost the sales volumes of Micrex Magnetite products.

Micrex and Chemco are currently evaluating markets and potential sales volumes to establish a production target for the St. Charles deposit. This is an important part of the permitting process in Quebec. Mine permitting in Quebec follows rules similar to those in many jurisdictions, and part of the process is a demonstrated market demand and production estimates based on that demand.

With Chemco’s help, Micrex intends to maximize the potential of the St. Charles deposit as quickly as possible.
