Geophysics results from Buffalo Hills Property
Micrex Development Corp. issued announcements about two of its properties today.
Micrex announced it has received the first level interpretation of the aeromagnetic survey of its Buffalo Hills Diamond prospect in Northern Alberta.
During early May a total of about 4500 line-km of fixed-wing airborne magnetics were completed over Micrex Development Corps Buffalo Head Hills Diamond Property.
A total of 45 high frequency low amplitude magnetic anomalies that could be related to shallow sourced geological features such as kimberlites were observed in the preliminary magnetic data.
Detailed analysis may reveal more subtle targets, but first level interpretation has indicated that eight anomalies are of significant interest; justifying ground based examination and geophysics.
Apex Geoscience will be examining access and permitting issues with the aim of carrying out these ground surveys in the near future.
Micrex also announced that the aerial geophysical survey at its Bighorn Property near Atlin, B.C. has been put on hold for the time being.
Scheduling conflicts with the Geophysics Company and a revised cost estimate that was essentially double the original estimate caused Micrex to re-examine the cost/ benefits of the planned work.
It is believed that a ground based exploration program could be supported for an extended period for the same cost but would offer more benefits than the air based geophysics.
Micrex is currently evaluating when that work could best be done.
